Installation requirements

Before the new gas hob is fitted the gas engineers will carry out a few checks to make sure that the new gas hob can be installed

The area around the gas hob will be inspected. This is called the “hot zone”. We make sure there is no combustible materials in this space like electric sockets, shelves, loose wall paper or kitchen cupboards. A clearance of 750mm above and 50mm to the side is needed for the gas hob.

It is a requirements that there is an openable window to the outside for ventilation or a suitable extractor fan that meets the requirements for the new gas hob installation.

If these requirements are not met we will not be able to complete the plumbing installation.

What we offer

We offer a full range of gas hob / cooker installations from a free standing cooker, fixed hob replacement on the kitchen work surface to a modern range cooker.

By having your gas hob / cooker fitted by us you can be assured it is fitted correctly and to Gas Safe regulations. All new installations have a 12 months warranty on workmanship plus the manufacturer’s warranty on parts.

We will only ever send a qualified Gas Safe plumbers to install any new gas cooker installation.
