When is it time to get a new boiler replacement?

Boilers play a big part in the running of a family home so having a reliable boiler is essential so having your old boiler replaced with a modern condensing gas boiler that can save your hundreds of pound on your heating and hot water bills.

Are old gas boilers dangerous.

Old gas boilers do not have the safety devices like the new modern day combination or system boilers. As long as you have your old gas boiler serviced yearly by a qualified gas safe engineer to make sure it is safe then it should be fine to use.

Do you need a new gas boiler that has been installed serviced?

No matter how old a gas boiler is it is recommended by the manufacturers and Gas Safe to have your boiler serviced every year to make sure it is still running correctly and safe to use and issue a gas safety certificate.

Most manufacturers will void the warranty if the boiler has not had a 12 month boiler check from the date of the new boiler replacement.

New gas boiler installation procedure

Contact one of our friendly team and we can arrange for a qualified Gas Safe engineer to attend the property to give you a free estimate.

When the gas engineer has done the checks / estimate

Once our gas engineer has done his checks he will send the information to the office and we will get an estimate written up and sent to the email address we have been given.

Excepting the estimate

Once you have confirmed you would like to proceed with the estimate we will get the materials ordered and arrange a date for the boiler to be installed.

Date of gas boiler installation

The water will need to be turned off to start the boiler installation as the heating pipes and hot and cold supply will need to be drained down, the water might be off for a least 4/5 hours.

Installing the new combination / system boiler

Once the old system has been drained down the old boiler will be removed and the new boiler fitted in the agreed position on the estimate.

Pipe work / valves / thermostats

When the boiler is installed the engineer will then connect the pipes and fit any new valves to the radiators and put in a new. thermostat for the heating system.

Installation complete

Once the boiler installation has been completed the gas engineer will commission the boiler and heating system and check it is working correctly.

Finishing up

Once the heating and hot water is back up and running and the rubbish has been cleared away the gas engineers will fill out the benchmark form and write you a receipt.

Office

Once we have received the benchmark form the engineer we will register it with Gas Safe and the manufacture for the warranty and they will send you the certificates by post.
