Installation requirements

Before the new gas hob is fitted the gas engineers will carry out a few checks to make sure that the new gas hob can be installed

The area around the gas hob will be inspected. This is called the “hot zone”. We make sure there is no combustible materials in this space like electric sockets, shelves, loose wall paper or kitchen cupboards. A clearance of 750mm above and 50mm to the side is needed for the gas hob.

It is a requirements that there is an openable window to the outside for ventilation or a suitable extractor fan that meets the requirements for the new gas hob.

If these requirements are not met we will not be able to complete the installation.

All new installations come with a 12 month guarantee on workmanship and the manufacturer’s warranty for the gas hob/cooker.
